By
giving a home to rescue animals you are saving lives. You not only give
the animal you adopt a chance of a new life, you are also creating space
in rescue so that another animal in need can be saved.
Rescue animals are not all troubled animals, far from it. Many come from loving homes, where they have been well trained and well cared for. Sometimes the previous owners circumstances change, meaning they can no longer care for their companion animal, whether that be down to losing their job, a relationship breaking down or illness. If you give a home to a rescue animal, you also have the peace of mind that the animal has been health and temperament checked. The animal should also have been spayed or neutered and vaccinated if needed. Any good rescue will also be there to offer help and advice if you need it. Remember, even animals with behavioural problems deserve a chance, if you feel you can offer them a home. It is so rewarding to see an animal with problems grow into the confident and happy animal it should have always been. There are animals in rescue all over the country just waiting for someone to love them, give one a chance, i am sure you wont regret it! Just make sure you are honest with the rescue about your lifestyle and experience with animals, so that they can help you find the very best animal to fit into your home and lifestyle. |
